THE WEEPING PROPHET
There was a very long time ago in a drought stricken land, where streams and rivers had ceased to flow, a man called Jeremiah ‘The Weeping Prophet’ who pled with his people to turn from their evil ways. And the people called him crazy, boiling him in a pot of oil. But he escaped unharmed continuing with tears pleading.
Where I live there are people standing on street corners with signs and megaphones
warning of the end of the world. And I am sure there are some who call them crazy as well! In times like these, with fiery trials coming upon our world, we may become discouraged and forget to pray – May we in our spiritual aridity cry out for help . . .
PEOPLE, WILL YOU WEEP FOR US AS WELL?”
