After Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem – he taught in the temple simple stories that all could understand
And Jesus wept as He looked upon His people, pleading with them to be ready to enter into His Kingdom at His 2nd coming
There is a story told long ago, in an ancient land, of a village set on a hill. The sun was setting and shadows gathering, with light streaming from the windows of a house full of laughter. Ten young virgins are sewing their gowns of silk and lace for there is a wedding procession about to take place. There is excitement, for the bride is waiting for her groom. The night is far spent and weary, they all fall asleep. At midnight there is heard a cry, waking abruptly smoothing their gowns and plating their hair, they rush out the door, their lamps trimmed and burning. They all have oil in their lamps. As the night wore on, five had brought extra oil, but five had not. Running to the wise -“Give us of your oil” but the wise replied “We have not enough to share, go to the village and buy some there, that you may enter into the marriage feast. The five rturned with oil in their lamps – but the five wise had already gone into the banquet hall and the door was shut. Five were left in darkness!
