crushed violets

“Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet
sheds on the heel that crushes it”
Mark Twain

1-22-25 – ‘Sanctity of Human Life Day’

BLUE violets withered, trodden
underground
bleeding from the offenders
frown
Their spirits crushed their
voices hushed
AND as I cry, questioning why
I am reminded, they have
forgiven and so must I!
AND until they rise from their
dusty tombs
weeping violets sleep, until
once again they bloom!

~ A tribute to earth’s suffering children! ~
