crushed violets

“Forgiveness is the fragrance the violet
sheds on the heel that crushes it”
Mark Twain

1-22-25 – ‘Sanctity of Human Life Day’

BLUE violets withered, trodden
underground
bleeding from the offenders
frown
Their spirits crushed their
voices hushed
AND as I cry, questioning why
I am reminded, they have
forgiven and so must I!
AND until they rise from their
dusty tombs
weeping violets sleep, until
once again they bloom!

~ A tribute to earth’s suffering children! ~

Hope

HOPE is the thing I hoped for
most, for which I could not see
Like a bird perched upon a
tree
Just when I thought I had it
it hopped away from me

And then I heard a song and
supposed I caught a tune
When the wind snatched a
flower hiding from the sun

For HOPE I must wait again
till it knocks upon my door!

the snowbird

January 3, 2025

Upon my frosty windowsill,
Upon my frosty windowsill, a snow-bird sings
a cheerful song, tugging at my heart strings

“He meant no wrong but no longer could he stay”
Happiness he now has found!
No pills nor drink now taint his lips, his fears and
doubts escaped
And then from my windowsill he says goodbye

Singing ‘Stephen’s Song’

“Don’t grieve for me, my unbarred cage has set me free”

Here below no longer are his footprints in the snow!

“PEACE ON EARTH – GOOD WILL TOWARDS MEN” 😇 👼

A 🌲 in the midst of 3 ðŸŒ²

December 14, 2024

Trees can play an important
part in history

there are 2 very
important ones that have
left their mark through the ages

– And a special promise of

one to come! 🌲

In the beginning in Eden’s fair garden
was a tree of good and evil that was
forbidden . . .

They did not listen and partook of the
fruit
With one last look they fled

in terror

why do they fear their

Heavenly Father?

But he spoke these words –
“Do not be afraid a Savior shall be

born in a manger of hay”

His path will be lonely

His friends

will forsake Him, on a

Tree He will hang weeping

. . . This is the 2nd tree in the

midst of 3 . . .

In a grave He will

lay for 3 days then rising . . .

ascending to heaven, giving

us the

Hope of His 2nd coming
Eden’s tree

will be restored for all who

believe, of its fruit they shall eat

its leaves bringing healing to the

nations and forever in heaven and
earth there will be peace!

🔔 Christmas bells ðŸ””

The year 1861 was a sad year for Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
In the month of July his wife, Fanny, who he dearly loved,
had been sealing a keepsake lock of their daughter’s hair in wax,
when a gust of wind blew through the window causing her
dress to catch fire.

Longfellow severely burned his face and hands, attempting to
save her, but her burns were so severe she died the next day.
In the year 1864 his son was injured in the Civil war.
Christmas of that year, in despair he wrote this famous carol –
‘I heard the bells on Christmas day’
“And in despair I bowed
my head

there is no peace on earth I said
for hate is strong and mocks the song
of peace on earth, good will to men”
He had good reason to question if there
would ever be peace for him
But then this great poet wrote these words of cheer –

“Then pealed the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead nor does He sleep, the wrong
shall fail, the right prevail
with peace on earth, good will to men”
