Welcome to my garden!

June brings forth a month of glorious colors!

Every desert will become a garden!

Some of us begin life with a desert
experience, yearning for a garden
of fruitfulness and joy – but must
wait for the promise of sweetness
to come!

AS we look back through the windows
we may see a withered garden
with empty brooks
a child playing in this imaginative place

But we have the promise
“Every desert will become a garden
springs will gush forth in the wilderness
Yes – there will be an abundance of flowers
and singing with joy” . . .

up and down – and all around

When a leg is broken or even an arm there is no question and off to the doctor for help we go . . . but for some strange reason when a brain is broken . . . we are reluctant and often hide refusing the medicine to heal the mind!

There are all kinds of dynamics when it comes to
emotional distraught, especially when it is brought
on by another’s choice. Sometimes the pride and ego
must be willing to bend to medications to help heal
the mind . . .

Who will win this battle
can I alone?

Or to the bottle will I resort
one of alkali silvery white!

We won’t tell another
lest they look for
troublous signs

Circling round on this
merry go round

My wind swept hair
my glorious mind
with grandiose thoughts
becoming a roller
coaster ride

Up and down and all
around this should be
a clue, signs of highs
and signs of blues

Then slowly coming to a
stop hitting the earth
with a sudden halt

I’ll walk this off, work
up a sweat, drink more water
washing the body
of toxins so rudely left
Surely this will help – or must

I bow down before you, a
subservient to a mineral
mined from the earth?

Once lost – now is found . . .

November 11-10-2023

The image had become a
picture in my innocent
mind of childhood memories

lingering I thought
I had left behind.

I had projected my anger
on the face of my Maker.

The painting I had drawn
was distorted with pictures
I could not erase
upon a loving Father’s face

With a broken heart
I wandered in darkness
and doubt when a thought
appeared
“Surely there is a father who
is loving and kind -why am

I floundering in unbelief?”

Then in the distance a
faint picture is seen
a Father meets me with
open arms
Once lost – now I am found!

Now repainting pictures
projected on God and others

These are selected verses taken from my
Poem ‘The Prodigal Daughter’

the Sacred harvest . . .

Welcoming the month of October!

As we gaze upon the fields of harvest with its grains of golden wheat we anticipate our kitchens filled with aroma of bread with –

red apples fallen from the apple tree!

“The harvest is plentiful but the [workers] are few”

But the harvest is not only fruit of the land
for under the autumn sun are those awaiting
the Sacred call of the great Harvest of Heaven
when all is done!

The Book of Matthew 9:37

Blessings of rest on this Sabbath evening . . .

The time of the harvest had been fulfilled!
The increased fertility of the soil from its lying fallow one year out of seven!

We all need rest but find little time to pursue it!

It seems beyond our grasp with the demands of our daily challenges, our cares and concerns to live in a world
beyond our existence!

An ancient tradition from long ago was given, that the land
may rest every seventh year, called a – Sabbatical Rest!
Like the weekly Sabbath set aside for all to rest – a
reminder of our dependence on God for all of our provisions!

‘Beyond Blue’ – The month of September is suicide awareness month . . .

It is often hard to know what to say to someone that
has lost a loved one to suicide – and also to someone
who has attempted, but not completed it!

Reflections on Grief and Compassion for
this devastating loss

‘Beyond Blue‘ * is an organization specializing in mental health issues
and offers support regarding suicide
prevention services

After my lose of a loved one to suicide
I knew others meant well and cared, but had a lack of words to express their sympathy. Sometimes just to allow a person to be present and still with your grief is all that is needed!

My loss came shortly after I had made a life changing move to reach out
furthering my goals in life. I was turned upside-down and found
myself suddenly going in a different direction. I suffered blame for having
done this – if only I hadn’t left the situation and been present to help him, it
would have been alright. I had to move to a different location to seek
resources to support me in this loss. There are many resources available
just a few of many listed below –

Happy Birthday to our world!

A Reflection of the celebration of the creation of our world!

Celebrating the Jewish New Year!

Of the creation of the world

TEN GIFTS – spoken in the beginning of time – from
The Creator of LIGHT and LIFE!

May we reflect on our lives as well –

“For every good gift and every perfect
gift is from above. . . from the Father of
lights in whom there is neither shadow
nor turning” *

but where to begin is the question

It is not too late to look within, to do what
we have feared, but where to begin is the
question
Darkness is no darkness to Him
as we summon the world to remember
our things said and unsaid leaving us
despondent
But don’t give up – remember The One who
created our world speaks light to a
troubled mind!
